“When I was asked to be the official announcer for Sports Jeopardy!, I’m pretty sure my heart stopped. How can you make my dream job with Jeopardy! even more perfect? Add Sports!,” gushes Miyahara. “I can’t imagine a more exciting opportunity…especially to do it with Dan Patrick.”
Almost a decade ago, Kelly Miyahara landed a job as a member of the Clue Crew on Jeopardy!, presenting video clues on the quiz show from six continents, two dozen countries and almost all 50 states.
“Growing up, I was sort of a tomboy. I loved playing ball and competing, especially with the boys.” Kelly played competitive soccer and softball through high school and became a triathlete with TEAM in Training (TNT) in 2010 while fundraising for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In the past 5 years, she’s completed numerous triathlons, including 2 full IRONMAN distance races. She’s become a TNT Coach, personally raised over $60,000 for the charity, “…and best of all, I have met the most outstanding people on the planet!” adds Kelly. Her proudest triathlon moment came when she crossed the finish line in Kona at the 2013 IRONMAN World Championship to honor the memory of her friend/teammate, Mari.
Kelly has lived on both coasts of the country and earned her Business degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. She’s backpacked Europe on a budget and worked as an English teacher, waitress and au pair in France.
“I’m indescribably thankful because my jobs with Jeopardy! and Sports Jeopardy! blend my interest in world culture, language and travel with my love for sports, adventure & people.”
